Winter is a great time to visit Chile …
It may be a little “chilly” but the snow-capped Andes and sunny blue sky provide a wonderful backdrop to the city and the wineries. And you can still visit plenty of beautiful vineyards and taste great wines.
With shorter days, we have designed our Winter Tours so that you can enjoy Chile’s wine country and be back in town by dark.
For your Casablanca Winter Wine Tour, you will be picked up from your Santiago hotel. We will transport you through the Curacavi Valley and Coastal Mountain range to the Casablanca valley, known for its cool climate wines due to its proximity to the Pacific Coast.
First Winery …
You will visit one of the first wineries to plant vines in Casablanca, Chile’s youngest wine region. Walk through the vines and the wine making facilities, and hear about their organic and bio-dynamic practices. Then return to the tasting rooms to taste four of their premium wines, showcasing the best of each terroir. Each wine is emblematic of its region and is paired with its own specially-selected small bite.
Second Winery with Lunch …
Then, it’s on to the next winery, where you can relax in their renowned restaurant and enjoy a delicious three-course set menu accompanied by two wines from their range, and finishing with coffee.
After lunch, take a tour of the premises of this highly-awarded winery specialising in the cool climate varieties of the Casablanca Valley. Taste five wines from their extensive line, ranging from Grand Reserva to Icon, in their beautiful tasting rooms.
We will then transport you back to Santiago at the end of an enjoyable and indulgent day.
Price is for a full day out with your English speaking guide, transport to and from your Santiago base, and all tours and lunch as described.
